 Hello and welcome to the website of the Greater St. Louis Chapter of HFMA. I am pleased and quite honored to have the opportunity to serve as Chapter president 2008-2009. The Chapter’s leadership team is in place and already making plans to bring you exciting educational and networking events throughout the coming year. Thank you to our volunteers and sponsors for your tireless efforts to serve the chapter membership.
HFMA’s current National Chairman, Mr. Robert Broadway, presented his chairman’s theme at the 2008 Leadership Training Conference. He emphasized the importance of “Making Connections”. In healthcare, we make connections every day; connections with our patients and their families, our payers, customers, physicians, co-workers, colleagues, friends and family. Those connections allow us to share information and “connect our knowledge of healthcare business issues” with others. He went on to say that “HFMA is about connecting contacts with content.” I encourage you to continue to make the most of those connections, and reach out to you to connect with the Greater St. Louis Chapter of HFMA. As an active member of the chapter, you will expand your influence, grow in your profession, broaden your professional network, and invest in your personal growth.
